CEREC® Porcelain Dental Veneers and Crowns

Porcelain Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are a durable, effective way to mask tooth flaws. Veneers are custom-made, wafer-thin porcelain shells that are seamlessly placed on the front surface of each tooth to create an even and luminous smile. At the beginning of the process, Dr. Frangopol uses a three-dimensional camera to create a digital impression of the teeth. This allows him to custom design the dental veneers to reflect the size, shape, and color of the teeth. The veneers are then created by an on-site milling machine and bonded to the front surface of each tooth. Finally, the veneers are hardened into place using a special high-intensity light. Porcelain Dental Crowns

Dental Bridges

Gaps in the mouth left by missing teeth can not only make patients self-conscious about their smiles, but they can also make speaking and chewing difficult. Fortunately, Dr. Frangopol offers a variety of natural-looking dental bridges to fill those gaps. A dental bridge consists of an artificial tooth, which is used to bridge the gap between existing teeth, and dental crowns that are fitted over the adjacent teeth to hold the artificial tooth in place. To prepare for the creation of the bridge, Dr. Frangopol will make an impression of the teeth for use in crafting the dental crowns. An artificial tooth will then be bonded in between the two crowns, and then the entire dental bridge will be placed and cemented into the mouth. Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a safe, effective way to conceal minor structural imperfections, such as a cracked, chipped, or discolored tooth, or even misaligned teeth. During this pain-free cosmetic dental procedure, Dr. Frangopol will select a composite resin that matches the shade of the tooth being repaired. Invisalign® Braces

Invisalign® Process

There are a number of steps involved in creating Invisalign® braces. Dr. Frangopol will first take a bite impression of the patient's mouth and use the Invisalign® three-dimensional computer imaging system to design a customized set of between 18 and 30 clear retainers. These retainers are replaced approximately every two weeks as the patient's teeth are gently guided into the desired position.
